- Develop & execute both short and long-term strategic sourcing plans for N. American brands and implement actions to achieve results.
- Leverage N. American volume, knowledge and relationships improve terms, cost and supply chain performance.
- Work with various parties to track, meet, and report on the cost innovation targets on a regular basis.
- Work with various stakeholders on strategic projects to determine business requirements, assess supply markets, develop a sourcing strategy, get approval & alignment on strategy, execute sourcing strategy, and develop a transition and change management plan as needed.
- Lead Supplier Relationship Program for strategic supplier base. Hold suppliers accountable to performance, delivery, quality, cost, innovation, and other KPI metrics.
- Participate in and lead N. America brands participation in Carnival Corporation's Corporate sourcing initiatives.
- Participate or lead conversations with Sr. leaders both internally and externally about strategic sourcing opportunities and build collaborative engagement.
- Drive continuous improvement by identifying process enhancements, promoting best practices, and fostering a culture of operational excellence.
- Provides formal supervision to individual employees in the technical sourcing team.
- Recommends staff recruitment, selection, promotion, advancement, corrective action & termination.
- Prepares and delivers performance appraisal for staff
- Mentors and coaches team members to further develop competencies
- Continuously improves skill level of the team
- Monitors, tracks, and reports Strategic Sourcing Team's performance on monthly, quarterly & annual basis to Client groups and Supply Chain Management and takes corrective action as needed to ensure established customer service targets, goals and deadlines are met.
- Networks and communicates frequently with shore and ship customer organizations to build effective working relationships. Is viewed as trusted business partner. Solicits customer feedback for performance improvements and discusses feedback with direct reports
- Ensure adherance to international maritime regulations and company sourcing and procurement policies.
- Support sustainability initatives through responsible sourcing & supplier engagement.
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
- Professional certification in procurement or supply chain management (e.g., CPSM, CSCP) a plus.
- Minimum of 7 years of experience in sourcing or procurement ideally within technical or engineering-focused environment.
- Proven track record of successful contract negotiations and supplier management.
- Experience in implementing sustainability initiatives within the supply chain.
- This role plays a critical role within the North America strategic sourcing team, responsible for managing the technical spend across NA brands covering both operating expenses and capital expenditures. The position has a significant impact on the company's sourcing strategies and operations, working closely with cross-functional stakeholder teams across various operating companies.
