- Manage a book of business that consists mostly of Level & Self Funded groups with some large Fully Funded groups.
- Set pre-renewal meetings, facilitate policy review, consult with clients on plan changes, negotiate with carriers, provide quotes & estimates to new and renewing business, bind coverages, and conduct open enrollments.
- Act as the primary point of contact for clients, internal teams, and carriers.
- Conduct in-person and virtual meetings confidently, including client meetings and open enrollment meetings.
- Handle a blended in-office and remote role if near office. If covering Idaho and Montana, the role is fully remote.
- Perform as a service only role with no selling required. However, if comfortable with writing business, the potential to be considered as an Account Executive is available.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in an independent agency as a Benefits Account Manager.
- Proven ability to set pre-renewal meetings, facilitate policy review, consult with clients on plan changes, negotiate with carriers, provide quotes & estimates to new and renewing business, bind coverages, and conduct open enrollments.
- Experience with Fully, Level and Self-Insured plans is preferred.
- Comfortable in a client facing, internal, and carrier facing role.
- Confidence in conducting virtual and in-person client meetings.
- Comfortable in a service-only role with no selling required. Openness to write business is a plus.
