Who we are:EOI Space is developing and deploying a network of satellites in Very Low Earth Orbit (VLEO) to provide ultra-high-resolution Earth imagery. We aim to deliver timely and actionable data for commercial and defense applications. We are on our way to achieving many industry firsts. This demands an ambitious team that thrives on challenges, takes ownership, and collaborates deeply. EOI Space is looking for a Ground Systems Engineer to help develop and scale our ground system as we prepare for satellite operations. What you will do:As the Ground Systems Engineer, you will be responsible for operations, engineering, and support for EOI and customer ground antenna RF integration, including backhaul of wideband data. This role will collaborate with a multidiscipline team to ensure that the ground stations operate at a high level of performance and availability. The Ground System Engineer is responsible for providing systems engineering and technical support for EOI and customer product fulfillment flow to include Order Management, Satellite Mission/Collection Planning and Image Operations during the design and development phase of the program. Workwill include creation and management of system requirements; the derivation of software requirements to implement the software design, and support for the testing and deploying of these applications into an EOI AWS Cloud environment. This will require you to work with the software team to plan, implement and demonstrate capability in an ongoing basis per the Agile Sprint cycles with multiple external vendors. This role will also communicate and present engineering concepts to the program team.Responsibilities:Lead systems engineering efforts for detailed design of the Antenna Network and Backhaul portions of the Ground Segment, including owning artifacts such as requirements, vendor trade studies, space-to-ground ICD, and link budget analysesCollaborate with vendors and the EOI team to develop and maintain antenna-related system andinterface requirementsDevelop and execute test plans, procedures, and verification strategies for antenna systems from prior to space vehicle launch through LEOP and commissioning. Drive integration of antennas and user terminals across the EOI system through all development phasesSupport end-to-end integration of antennas and terminals into the full EOI system throughoutdevelopment, deployment, and operations. Analyze test data, troubleshoot issues, and perform root-cause analysis in coordination with stakeholders. Ensure ground systems readiness, including software integration and backhaul support at each siteCommunicate technical status, risks, and issues clearly across engineering and management teamsSupport on-orbit operations, including space-to-ground test activities, anomaly resolution, and process improvementGuide and coordinate vendors and integrators to the successful completion of ground antenna RF system build/maintenance allowing for stable satellite operationsEnsures all technical requirements, parameters and compatibility of all physical, functional and program interfacesRequired Qualifications:5+ years of experience designing, developing, testing, and operating LEO ground/satellite RF systems for commercial or USG5+ years of direct experience working on a ground component (eg.
