- Collaborate with executive leadership to align HR strategies with the organization’s long-term mission and goals.
- Ensure the integrity and relevancy of organizational policies through regular assessment.
- Lead the development and execution of HR strategy.
- Oversee all aspects of human resource programs, including but not limited to recruitment, onboarding/offboarding, compensation, benefits, leave, disciplinary procedures, employee relations, performance management, health and safety, and learning and development.
- Identify key performance indicators for HR functions and assess organizational success and competitiveness based on these metrics.
- Develop comprehensive approaches to employee development, retention, and onboarding, including compensation and benefits, career paths, succession planning, and learning opportunities.
- Build and support an HR team in various functions, including talent management, compensation, employee relations, organizational development, payroll, HRIS, branding, and communications.
- Research, develop, and implement competitive compensation, benefits, performance, appraisal, and employee incentive programs.
- Manage relationships with third-party vendors supporting HR functions.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations.
- Stay updated on trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and emerging technologies in HR, talent management, and employment.
- A bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field required (Master’s degree preferred)
- 8+ years of human resource management experience required (experience in nonprofit sector a plus)
- PHR, SPHR, SHRM-CP, or PGHR certification(s) preferred
- Passion for Jesus Christ and serving the Lord
- Proficiency in interpreting federal, state, and local HR policies
- Familiarity with US payroll principles
- Experience managing dispersed teams of various sizes and exceptional decision-making skills
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Demonstrated ability to influence and drive change
