Legacy Talent Search is currently seeking candidates for a Control Room Operator II role in Firebaugh. Our client is a well-established industry leader in food manufacturing, recognized for their cutting-edge processes and unwavering commitment to quality. With a focus on operational excellence and continuous improvement, they maintain high standards at every stage of production.Key Responsibilities:· Operate, monitor, and maintain at least two control room systems (Hotbreaks, Fencos, Evaporators, or Flash Cooler) to ensure efficient product flow.
· Perform Cleaning In Place (CIP) and sanitation tasks following established SOPs.
· Monitor product specifications to ensure compliance with Manufacturing Standard Practices (MSP).
· Record and maintain accurate logs of process data, equipment readings, and shift activities.
· Inspect and maintain pump seals, cooling systems, and other equipment to prevent unnecessary waste.
· Collaborate with team members for shift pass downs, equipment troubleshooting, and continuous process improvement.
· Assist in the training of new operators in system functionality and safety procedures.
· Transport product samples to the lab in accordance with Q.A. protocols.
· Wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) and uphold safety and cleanliness standards in all work areas.
· Communicate effectively with other departments, including Sanitation, Maintenance, and Quality Assurance.Qualifications:· 3–4 years of experience operating evaporation systems or similar production equipment.
· Strong mechanical aptitude with the ability to troubleshoot technical equipment.
· Proficient in basic computer tasks and data entry.
· Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
· High school diploma or equivalent; technical training or certifications a plus.
· Forklift and man lift certifications preferred (or ability to obtain).
· Ability to read, write, and communicate clearly in English.
· Strong math skills to calculate measurements, weights, and process data.Physical Requirements:· Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform repetitive tasks.
· Regular standing, climbing, kneeling, and use of hand tools and valves.
· Work in hot, humid, and loud environments with moving machinery and slippery floors.
· Use of vision, speech, and hearing protection as required.What We Offer:· Competitive hourly wage based on experience.$22.65, with a 2nd shift differential of $.50 and a 3rd shift differential of $1.00
