This is a critical leadership role overseeing the performance and growth of multiple operational units, including civil construction, aggregate production, asphalt sales, and ready-mix concrete.The ideal candidate is an experienced and strategic leader with a deep understanding of the construction and materials industries, excellent financial acumen, and the ability to inspire and manage teams across diverse functions.Key Responsibilities:Lead day-to-day operations across construction, aggregate, asphalt, and ready-mix business unitsDevelop and implement strategic business plans, including financial forecasting and labor planningOversee project execution to ensure quality, safety, and budget complianceMonitor bidding activity and materials pricing for competitive positioningPartner with safety and environmental teams to ensure full compliance with MSHA, OSHA, EPA, and DNR regulationsBuild and maintain strong relationships with key customers while identifying new growth opportunitiesCollaborate with estimators and engineers to assess project selection, pricing, and performanceOversee capital investment, plant and equipment maintenance, and operational readinessBuild and maintain an organizational structure that supports long-term successLead with integrity, vision, and a focus on building strong, engaged teamsTravel as required, occasionally on short notice and for extended durationsRequirementsBachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Business, or related fieldOR 15 years of relevant experience in lieu of a degreeAdvanced degree preferredMinimum 10 years of industry experience, 15+ years preferredAt least 5 years in progressive leadership or management rolesProven ability to manage complex operations and diverse teamsStrong knowledge of:Civil construction and gradingAsphalt paving and salesAggregate production and installationReady-mix concrete operationsQuality control and materials testingFamiliarity with industry-specific software and business systemsStrong communication and presentation skillsExperience in employee development, training, and performance managementSolid grasp of financial planning, estimating, and market analysisBenefitsCompetitive compensation package based on experience and qualificationsExcellent benefits, including:Health, dental, and vision insurance401(k) with company matchPaid time off and holidaysLife and disability insuranceEmployee development and training programsA leadership role in a stable, growth-focused companySupportive team culture rooted in values, safety, and quality
