It also is committed to maintaining an equitable program between men and women.Intercollegiate Athletics are members of the Big Sky, Big West, Western Athletic Conference, Mountain Pacific Sports Federation and American Athletic Conferences.Minimum QualificationsKnowledge and Abilities:Working knowledge of or ability to learn quickly the name and type of athletic equipment and clothes used in physical education classes; ability to compare names and numbers rapidly and accurately; ability to post and keep simple records; ability to sort, maintain and inventory supplies; ability to mend and do simple sewing by hand and machine; ability to work well with others; ability to read and write at a level appropriate to the duties of the position.ANDSpecial Qualifications:Possession of or ability to obtain an American Red Cross First Aid Certificate.Required QualificationsExperience: * Experience laundering and maintaining athletic equipment. Proper fitting of protective equipment for athletes.
- Experience documenting and maintaining records pertaining to athletes, maintenance, ordering/inventorying, as well as safety protocols.
- Working knowledge of the procedures and protocols regarding equipment management in regards to athlete safety/protection.
- Ability to compare names, numbers, and records associated with that individual athlete and keep accurate records of the equipment checked out to each individual.
- Ability to keep simple records, sort, maintain, and inventory supplies.
- Ability to mend apparel and do simple sewing by hand or machine.
- Ability to provide lead work direction to student assistants in the absence of Equipment Specialist.

- Ability to travel to away competitions, as needed.
- Certified through the Athletics Equipment Manager Association (AEMA) or certifiable within 1 year of hiring.
