They are transforming the company and our products to become a leader in AI-first plan review.Job Overview:We are looking for a Lead QA Engineer to transform software quality in our organization and bring leadership skills, automation excellence, and AI savvy to our development process.A successful candidate will have the opportunity to make important and long-lasting contributions to the company’s engineering culture and software development process.Our stack is Angular, Typescript, Node.js, REST and GraphQL, MySQL and PostgresQL, and Kubernetes on AWS. We are open to the most modern and efficient architectural choices and test methodologies and strive to build both with and for AI. We are a devops organization – everyone is hands-on in AWS.This role is fully remote. Travel is not required, though we may have occasional team offsites. We strive for a sustainable pace while balancing responsiveness to our customers. Work hours are flexible, but consistent communication and availability during core hours are critical to success and off-hours support is occasionally required. Eastern or Central time zone presence is preferred, and Chicago, IL, Nashville, TN or Columbus, OH is a bonus.What you’ll do:Coordinate QA efforts across two squads and multiple productsWork closely with product management to help define acceptance criteria and shepherd user stories through the development and release processLead and mentor other QA engineersResearch, prototype, and drive the use of AI to build and run test automationParticipate in two-week sprints using the agile process and work with developers to ensure that committed user stories are truly “done” at the end of each springWhat you bring:Must-haves:Minimum five years experience as QA engineerMinimum two years experience as a QA lead or engineerDemonstrable success in building end-to-end QA automationNice-to-haveUse of AI-first QA automation toolsExperience with SaaS in productionB.S. in computer science or a related field, or comparable industry experience and training
