- Process biweekly payroll for hourly, salaried, and shift-based employees.
- Maintain and audit timekeeping records, ensuring accuracy of hours, PTO, and shift differentials.
- Manage payroll changes including new hires, terminations, bonuses, garnishments, and deductions.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll tax laws and wage/hour regulations.
- Partner with Finance to reconcile payroll and support journal entry reporting.
- Troubleshoot payroll discrepancies and resolve issues in a timely manner.
- Serve as the primary contact for employee benefit programs including medical, dental, vision, life, disability, 401(k), HSA/FSA, and COBRA.
- Conduct benefits orientation and enrollment for new hires; assist with ongoing changes and annual open enrollment.
- Process and reconcile monthly benefits invoices to ensure accuracy.
- Coordinate ACA filings, non-discrimination testing, and annual plan audits.
- Educate employees on benefit options and assist with inquiries and troubleshooting.
- Support internal and external audits, including 401(k) and payroll-related audits.
- Monitor and implement changes related to payroll, benefits, and labor compliance (e.g., FLSA, ERISA, HIPAA).
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Accounting, or related field.
- 5–7 years of experience administering payroll and benefits for 300+ employees; manufacturing experience strongly preferred.
- Solid understanding of payroll tax regulations, FMLA, COBRA, ACA, and ERISA.
- Proficiency in payroll/HRIS systems such as ADP, Paycom, or Workday.
- Strong Excel and reporting skills; ability to analyze data and spot errors quickly.
- Excellent organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills.
- High level of confidentiality and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities effectively.
- Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) or PHR/SPHR designation.
- Experience supporting multiple shift schedules or union/non-union environments.
- Knowledge of medical device industry quality and compliance requirements (e.g., FDA, ISO) is a plus.
Salary: $95K - $100K
