Come join Lockheed's Long Range Hypersonic Weapon (LRHW) team. Our system will travel at Mach 5 (over a mile per second). If this intrigues you, come join our LRHW HW team.Lockheed Martin is in search of a dynamic, hardworking Systems Engineering Project Manager to support the Long Range Hypersonic Weapon (LRHW) program, Hardware Engineering Integrated Product Team (IPT).
This position is in "Rocket City" Huntsville AL.As a Project Engineer you will:
- Be a member of the LRHW System Hardware Integrated Product Team (IPT) Program Integration Control (PIC) team
- Work closely with all control account managers (CAM) for the IPT to ensure thoughtful cost and schedule integration discipline is executed effectively.
- Support a diverse team of Systems Engineering Integration and Test Engineers, and Manufacturing Engineers
- Perform daily coordination with product managers, hardware design engineering, quality assurance engineers, and planners as required
- Provide guidance to Hardware Engineering team throughout the full Systems Engineering lifecycle processes, to include weapons system operations
- Establish, manage, and communicate HW IPT programmatic expectations, goals, roles, responsibilities, and objectives
- Lead and perform program baseline planning, integrated master schedule integration, schedule/cost validation, and awareness of risk and opportunities
- Experience with Program/Project Management and Leadership
- Experience with the Product life cycle process to include systems requirements, and design through final acceptance and delivery
- Demonstrated experience with Earned Value Management System (EVMS)
- Familiarity with DoD Missile programs
- Eligibility to obtain a DoD Secret Security Clearance - U.S. Citizenship Required
- Demonstrated experience with development of Integrated Master Schedule (IMS)
- Experience with Large Weapon Systems Programs
- Experience with US Strategic Missile Weapon Systems
- Customer interaction and familiarity with the DoD Labs/Facilities
- Understanding of Model Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) processes, principles and tools
- Experience with Manufacturing, and Integration/Test
- Proposal preparation and negotiation
- Familiarity with DoD Army Ground Systems and Army Missile programs
- Recognized as an authority in systems thinking techniques with the demonstrated ability to apply them to a wide range of complex problems, and demonstrates the ability to train others in their application
