- Manage the Partner’s calendars, including reserving travel arrangements, scheduling phone calls and meetings, and assisting in the outline of priorities for each day.
- Act as the point of contact for the Managing Partners among executives, employees, clients, and a variety of external partners that range from elected officials to CEOs to government relations professionals.
- Manage the expense reporting for the Managing Partners and provide ad hoc administrative support for other senior members of the Government Relations team as needed.
- Attend meetings and calls as applicable to track action items, incorporate to-dos into the Partner’s schedules, and ensure required next steps are completed.
- Design and implement updated organizational systems for the Managing Partner’s contacts, inboxes, calendars, and other relevant digital files.
- Prepare briefings and other pre-meeting materials to ensure that the Managing Partners are well-prepared for all internal and external meetings and calls.
- Prioritize projects and meetings and provide support to the broader Government Relations team as needed and as time allows.
- Coordinate Government Relations fundraisers and client events.
- Act as a facilitator for internal and external meetings by greeting priority guests and promoting the timely start and end to scheduled meetings and calls.
- Collaborate with all agency departments to facilitate timely and productive engagement with the CEO and the Partner’s executive team.
- 1-2 years of relevant administrative support experience, preferably in a political setting such as a campaign, Capitol Hill, or for a political committee.
- Demonstrated experience interacting with C-suite executives and other senior leaders and/or elected officials.
- Ability to take initiative, pay close attention to detail, and perform quality work that surpasses expectations.
- Exceptional writing and verbal communication skills for both internal and external audiences.
- Ability to quickly develop trusting relationships with colleagues and external stakeholders at all levels.
- Enjoys working in a fast-paced environment while keeping a professional demeanor.
- Adept at handling discrete and confidential information.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office suite of products.
- Self-starter who can manage multiple projects and deliverables simultaneously.
- Desire and ability to take on increased responsibility as position evolves.
- As this role supports a key leader, there may be occasional assistance required outside of regular work hours, such as nights and weekends.
