What you do:Under limited supervision, this role is pivotal in enhancing Allianz Life’s business processes through the application of Lean Six Sigma methodologies. As a Black Belt and experienced Lean Six Sigma practitioner, you will measure, diagnose, improve, re-engineer, and design business processes, while supporting strategic planning and organizational execution of Continuous Improvement initiatives. You will lead project teams, coach individuals, business partners, stakeholders, and senior management to identify and address business challenges, focusing on achieving tangible performance outcomes.Key responsibilities include delivering annual expense savings, enhancing customer satisfaction, and fostering process improvement expertise across the organization. You will facilitate complex Black Belt projects, evaluate candidates for certification, and actively contribute to process excellence annual planning and the Continuous Improvement Community of Practice. Strong verbal and written communication skills, along with a robust executive presence, are essential for success in this role.Continuous Improvement (CI)/Design Project Work
  • Lead Lean Six Sigma (LSS) process improvement and design projects across the enterprise, serving as the methodology expert
  • Oversee project scoping, process and data analysis, benefit measurement and recommend process design and development strategies
  • Develop effective control and monitoring plans to ensure process performance after implementation
  • Manage multiple high-complexity projects simultaneously, demonstrating leadership in applying Lean Six Sigma and other process improvement tools beyond formal CI projects
  • Drive change by integrating expert LSS skills into the CI Community of Practice
Lead Operational Excellence (OPEX) Localization Efforts
  • Utilize LSS curriculum, provide coaching, and drive tool and skill adoption in business areas
  • Champion CI and Lean Six Sigma process improvement/design methodologies across the enterprise
  • Implement communication, recognition, and change management strategies to enhance CI awareness and share quantifiable results within CI projects with various stakeholders
  • Execute local and international reporting of results/metrics, ensuring projects deliver baseline performance measures, improvement targets, and the ability to remeasure and maintain
  • Collaborate with other practitioners to enhance belting and certification processes
Support Central Improvement Office Project Portfolio Management Processes
  • Develop Blue/Black Belt project ideas through department/division assessments
  • Prepare effective business cases for project ideas
  • Assist the enterprise in the annual project planning process by consulting with senior leaders on strategic direction for departments/divisions
  • Utilization of artificial intelligence tools and resources (e.g. generative AI)
What you bring:
  • 4+ years’ experience required, Project Management and Process Improvement/Design experience, Strong business acumen and executive presence
  • Experience leading multiple successful end to end lean six sigma/DMAIC/DMADV/Kaizen efforts with sustained results from implementation.
  • Four-year degree required, Bachelor's degree, specialized training or equivalent work experience
  • Licensing/Certification/Other - Internal candidates: Lean Six Sigma Black Belt required, Master Black Belt a plus. Track record of hands on practitioner results in addition to academic skills.
  • You must be legally authorized to work in the U.S. and will not require immigration sponsorship for visa status now or in the future (e.g. H1-B, L-1, TN, etc). If you are currently on CPT/OPT, you are ineligible due to the need for future immigration sponsorship.
