We partner with hospitals, clinics, nursing homes, multi-specialty groups, and private practices to match talented individuals with roles that align with their skills and career goals.Position Overview:The Surgery Center Administrator directs, coordinates, and oversees all aspects of daily operating functions, staffing, quality, finances, and regulatory compliance. The Administrator ensures the efficient delivery of surgical services that exceed customer expectations and drive clinical and financial performance, empowering the team to operate within USPI’s high standards.Key Responsibilities:
  • Direct daily operations, maintain regulatory compliance, and oversee all facility processes and staff.
  • Serve as primary liaison among the Governing Board, Medical Staff, and departments.
  • Report facility status and activities to the Governing Board.
  • Plan, manage, and control business operations, including budgets, contracts, purchasing, and internal controls.
  • Lead quality improvement programs and ensure clinical services meet accrediting/ regulatory requirements.
  • Oversee sales/marketing plan execution and drive growth initiatives.
  • Build productive working relationships with staff, physicians, Home Office, and other stakeholders.
  • Monitor, evaluate, and report on financial performance and operational indicators.
  • Ensure policy and procedure manual compliance and define procedural standards.
Physical Examination Responsibilities:
  • Ability to move about all work areas, including ORs and clinical zones, for staff and operational oversight.
  • May require standing, walking, or minor lifting as needed to supervise patient care areas.
Medical Oversight Responsibilities:
  • Supervise credentialing, medical staff relations, and compliance with medical bylaws (in collaboration with the Medical Director).
  • Oversee nursing, central supply, medical records, and contracted clinical service departments.
  • Administer the infection control and quality improvement programs.
RequirementsQualifications:
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience; Master’s/Nursing degree preferred but not required.
  • Experience: Minimum 3 years in a senior administrative or management role in an ASC or hospital surgical environment.
  • Critical Information:
  • Responsible for the 4-OR center specializing in General, Ortho, Urology, Colorectal, Pain, Hand, Podiatric, and ENT Surgery.
  • Reports to USPI’s Home Office and Governing Board; involves regular presentations and review meetings.
  • Full-time, salaried director-level position; eligible for bonus and possibly higher base with advanced experience.
  • The governing board may determine additional necessary qualifications.
  • Skills:
  • Proven leadership in surgical or ambulatory facility administration.
  • Skillful in budgetary, contract, and financial oversight.
  • Knowledgeable of accreditation, state, and federal regulatory standards.
  • Strong relationship skills with physicians, staff, and partner organizations.
  • Able to develop and lead teams, resolve complex issues, and drive process improvement.
  • Analytical, organized, and able to manage multiple concurrent priorities.
  • Excellent command of English, strong communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Proven expertise with regulatory, operational, and financial management.
