
Quality Engineer, Manufacturing

- Ensure compliance with customer, FAA, and third-party standards (AS9100, NADCAP).
- Maintain and improve the Quality Management System (QMS).
- Conduct internal audits and support external audits.
- Manage records retention in line with company and regulatory requirements.
- Perform supplier audits and help resolve quality and delivery issues.
- Apply root cause analysis and implement corrective/preventive actions.
- Develop and maintain Program Quality Plans.
- Partner with engineering, supply chain, and production teams.
- Support new product introduction (NPI) with proactive quality planning.
- Contribute to Lean and Six Sigma improvement efforts.
- Use structured quality planning tools like APQP to guide early-stage risk identification, process development, and validation.
- Help ensure our manufacturing processes are consistent, compliant, and built for long-term success.
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, or 6+ years of quality experience in lieu of a degree.
- At least 2 years of quality experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Strong skills in root cause analysis and CAPA planning.
- Experience with inspection tools and interpreting technical drawings.
- Must meet ITAR/EAR requirements (U.S. Person).
- Experience with aerostructures (metallics and/or composites).
- Familiarity with Lean tools (A3, PFMEA, Fishbone diagrams).
- Experience with AS9145 or APQP processes.
- Certified Quality Auditor (CQA) or similar certification.
- Self-starter with strong communication and collaboration skills.
