Functioning within the Health System’s mission, values, objectives, policies and procedures, the Application Analyst is responsible for designing, developing, and instructing in activities that lead to the development and implementation of information systems used throughout LMHS. The Applications Analyst works closely with the appropriate providers and associates in the selection, development, implementation, and support of information systems used and serves as a liaison with the LMHS MIS Department and LMPC information system vendors. The Applications Analyst serves as a consultant, change agent, and facilitator in assessing information systems needs and in planning, implementing, and evaluating computer activities for providers, Associates, patients, and other recipient health care customers of LMHS. The Applications Analyst is responsible for troubleshooting/resolving system application issues and leading focused development projects and system implementations. This position’s responsibilities span the entire Physician Corporation. Training associates in the functionality of Practice Management/EMR software is required.Education: Degree in computer science or related field or equivalent combination of education and experience is required.Licensure/Certification: N/AExperience: Minimum of six (6) years’ experience as a programmer, programmer analyst, or applications systems analyst is required.Skills: The ability to work with a variety of departments and diverse stakeholders is required. Must be analytical, resourceful, detail-oriented, organized, quick and adaptable and possess strong communication and negotiation skills. Must be able to juggle competing demands and deal with interruptions.
