- Coaching employee relations specialist and managing daily work practices
- Developing employee relations specialists through role modeling, coaching, providing feedback and exposure, training, mentoring and providing stretch assignments.
- Conducting fact finding investigations in a way that deploys best practice methodologies to uncover root cause(s) and thereafter solutions that ensure the organization is focused on the mission of Bronson.
- Understanding and applying workforce analytics when consulting with leaders
- Understanding engagement, climate/pulse surveys and other employee engagement processes including interpreting data and developing follow-up programs to address feedback from the surveys.
- Working collaboratively with Front Line Leadership, Employee Assistant professionals, other Support Functions, Center for Learning and HR Colleagues with implementation strategies to facilitate positive change in employee and organizational development, such as heightened employee engagement, increased individual and team performance, improved safety, improved patient satisfaction, and other work practices that support the vision and mission of Bronson.
- Advising and training managers and supervisors on best practices and contemporary employee relations to support early intervention, performance turn around and other corrective action measures.
- Conducting exit interview process to identify themes and organizational solutions to improve retention (i.e., regrettable turnover) and support people at Bronson.
- Engaging proactively with the organization to eliminate or minimize employee relations issues.
- Mediating employee relations issues by meeting with front line leaders and employees to discover the source of the issue(s) and facilitating resolutions. Facilitating and providing training on employee relations and engagement courses.
- Collaborating with HelpNet and when appropriate deploying HelpNet as an added solution to support and champion employees. Collaborating with Bronson security on matters pertaining to threat management.
- Reviewing/approving any recommendation that terminates an employee’s employment
- Participating in audits
- Employment-related legal and other regulatory compliance tasks (recordkeeping, due- diligence, and employer response)
- All other duties as assigned
- Bachelor's degree in human resources or related discipline.
- Master’s degree preferred
- PHR or SHRM-CP or SHRM-SCP certification preferred
- 10 years’ experience in multiple functional areas of human resources (e.g., talent management/development, talent acquisition, HR Generalist/Business Partner, Organizational Design, Training
- Experience as a HR Generalist/Business partner highly preferred
- Demonstrated knowledge of federal, state, laws and regulations as they pertain to employment
- Demonstrated knowledge of workforce analytics
- Demonstrated ability to provide consultation to leaders about employee engagement and recommend action steps that lead to improved engagement
- Demonstrated skill in recognizing that an organization’s success is dependent on how well it values, engages and includes the rich diversity of staff, administrators, providers and community – Inclusive Excellence
- Demonstrated awareness of and willingness to address equity issues among organizational leaders, staff and providers – Equity-mindedness
