Job Description:OverviewSunday River is seeking a Terrain Park Manager to lead our Terrain Parks department and deliver an outstanding guest experience on the mountain.In this role, you will be responsible for the build and upkeep of our parks, ensuring features are creative, safe, and suited to a wide range of abilities. From overseeing park grooming and daily maintenance to managing staff and resources, you’ll play a key role in making sure our parks are consistently well-maintained and enjoyable. This position also serves as an ambassador for the resort—interacting with guests in and out of the parks, encouraging progression, and fostering a welcoming, inclusive atmosphere.This is a hands-on leadership role that blends technical expertise, creativity, and guest service. Responsibilities
  • Organizing staff so that all aspects of daily operations are completed, including:
  • Opening park elements
  • Daily examination and maintenance of all park elements to ensure safety
  • Eliminating hazards to guests
  • Maintaining and monitoring signage, fences, banners, and flags
  • Closing all elements that become hazardous
  • End of the day closures
  • Coordinate terrain park functions with all appropriate departments at Sunday River.
  • Coordinate terrain park specific duties for all events.
  • Support Igloo construction and maintenance.
  • Manager department labor and expense budgets.
  • Communicate night operation and rebuilding terrain part to part groomers.
  • Ultimately responsible for the completion of all Edge Auditor reports.
  • Responsible for terrain park presentation- being photo ready everyday.
  • Coordinate terrain park opening committee new features within the parks.
  • Maintain a high quality of guest service in the terrain park through regular interaction with guests and motivating staff.
  • Attend all meetings and coordinate staff scheduling and training.
  • Any other duties that fall within the realm of terrain parks.
Qualifications
  • High school degree or equivalent
  • At least 3-5 years related experience and/or training in terrain parks
  • At least 2-3 years of personnel management experience
  • The ideal candidate will be comfortable on skis and capable of carrying and transporting equipment while skiing.
