Job Description:OverviewThe Sunday River SnowSports Schol team members are enthusiastic, ambitious, thrive in the outdoors, love the mountain lifestyle, have a positive “get ‘er done” attitude, and are passionate about skiing and snowboarding.The Children’s Daily Program Manager will oversee all operational aspects of the Children’s Daily Programming for Sunday River SnowSports School, including Minin Mogul Munchkins (2.5-5 years), Mogul Munchkins (6-7 years), Mogul Meisters (8-13 years), and children’s private lessons. Responsibilities encompass staff coordination, inventory management, and budget oversight. Partner with the Seasonal Program Manager, Training Manager, Adult Program Manager, and School Director to optimize staffing efficiencies, align training initiatives, and elevate the guest experience while ensuring operational excellence.

  • Advocate of Safety – Team members are expected to actively promote and act as a role model with Sunday River’s safety policies.

Essential Job Duties:
  • Communication and Leadership:
  • Charged with building and maintaining a successful management team that oversees daily operations, including hiring foremen/supervisors and building a team that inspires and motivates instructors.
  • Maintain open and timely communication with all instructors regarding monthly, weekly, and daily operational needs.
  • Facilitate training to ensure strong communication with families, specifically parents whose children are part of the program.
  • Hold daily team meetings to encourage open communication and collaboration
  • Provide clear expectations and constructive feedback to all Children’s Saily Program team members
  • Remain available to team members for questions, concerns, or problems on a daily basis
  • Team Management:
  • Create and maintain one cohesive team within the three areas of Children’s Daily Programming
  • Assist in hiring, training, and onboarding all team members
  • Hold team members accountable for proper performance of their duties
  • Manager payroll for all Children’s Daily Program team members
  • Use Flaik to schedule team members for daily task assignments
  • Support the growth of Supervisors and Foremen to ensure development of their leadership skills and inclusion in daily operational and administrative requirements
  • Instructional Excellence:
  • Teach clinics, private, and group lessons of varying levels, abilities, and ages
  • Observe lessons and provide training opportunities to enhance guest experience
  • Lead and encourage team members to attend training sessions
  • Work with Training Coordinator and/or Director to plan Children’s program training
  • Operations & Budget Management:
  • Work with the Director to adhere to budgetary goals while finding efficiencies and growth in revenue-driven programming
  • Control payroll and expenses effectively
  • Demonstrate short- and long-term ability to forecast staffing and guest inventory needs to align with budgetary goals.
  • Cross Departmental Collaboration:
  • Work with SnowSports School management team to ensure consistent quality of products, team member expectation, and program goals
  • Partner with Seasonal Program manager to optimize staffing efficiency
  • Collaborate with Training Manager and Adult Program manager on aligned training initiatives
  • Assist other departments when requested
  • Preform any additional tasks requested by supervisor
Qualifications
  • PSIA/AASI Credentials and Certification preferred.
  • Be able to communicate well with guests, both children and adults, other team members and managers. Clear, courteous, and timely communication skills are required.
  • Willingness to work with children and adults of various ages, experience, athletic abilities, and desires as it relates to snow sports.
  • Ability to keep a positive outlook, problem solve, improvise, adapt, adjust, and overcome challenges in the learning environment as needed.
  • Ability to guide quality SnowSport experiences for guests, time and time again.
  • Be available to work weekends and holiday periods

  • Wages range from $26 - $30 per hour, depending on experience, with opportunities for professional growth and advancement
