AE2S is looking for an Electrical Engineering Project Manager/Technical Specialist with shared values to join our growing firm!The successful candidate will be responsible for leading business development and designing, developing, and implementing complex electrical systems and processes. Projects will include water treatment and distribution, wastewater treatment and collection, municipal systems, and process industrial facilities where your advanced knowledge in power generation, power distribution (both less than and greater than 1000V), life safety systems, lighting, instrumentation/controls, and Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA) will contribute to the development of innovative solutions.Responsibilities
  • Provide proactive leadership and electrical engineering solutions by developing and implementing business development strategies to drive local growth that is in partnership and alignment with strategic goals.
  • Lead business development through positive client interactions and proactive engagement.
  • Rely on technical expertise to serve as leader and advanced technical advisor on projects.
  • Design and develop electrical systems and components, ensuring compliance with industry standards and requirements.
  • Conduct research and feasibility studies to evaluate new electrical technologies and applications.
  • Lead large-scale, complex electrical engineering design projects; prepare and oversee project budgets, monitor hours/expenses, and ensure top performance throughout project.
  • Provide proactive technical expertise, quality control, and quality assurance on the designs and specifications of electrical systems to ensure timely project deliverables.
  • Develop and expand business by pursuing, developing, and implementing strategies focused on client success and in alignment with AE2S's strategic initiatives.
  • Utilize strong technical expertise to guide and oversee the work of other electrical engineers and team members to ensure successful completion of projects.
  • Collaborate across multiple disciplines and with external subconsultants to deliver quality work on schedule, within budget, and meeting or exceeding client's expectations.
  • Responsible for client management activities including maintaining and enhancing existing and pursued client relationships, proposal development, identifying, evaluating, and leading project opportunities.
  • Coordinate, facilitate, and attend internal and external meetings.
  • Manage performance of assigned project team members.
QualificationsQualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or related field
  • Minimum of 10 years of electrical system design experience in the water/wastewater industry or related experience; experience with design-build, design-bid-build, and construction management at risk (CMAR) project delivery ideal.
  • Registration as a Professional Engineer in Utah or ability to obtain.
  • Advanced knowledge of electrical engineering principles, compliance practices, regulations, and standards.
  • Adept in providing guidance and strategic leadership to mid-level, senior-level, and project members.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Advanced knowledge of electrical engineering principles, standards, and regulations related to electrical distribution, lighting, and special systems, and instrumentation and control systems (instruments, fiber optics, computers, radios, Ethernet networks and Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA)).

  • May be required to travel to off-site locations including occasional overnight stays out of town
