Interns are provided a broad range experiences and opportunity to gain experience learning new skills through actively participation as part of a client team. Responsibilities include attending client conference calls, performing various analytical project work, and completing on the job training.Essential Functions and Primary Duties:
  • Performing and reviewing analysis of health care data using Excel
  • Analysis, data manipulation and summarization of large health care data sets using statistical analysis software (e.g. SAS, WPS, Access and SPSS)
  • Balancing multiple projects and effectively managing time to ensure successful completion by deadlines
  • Internal communication and presentation of analyses
Qualifications Required:
  • BA/BS students pursuing a degree in actuarial science, mathematics or similar course of study including economics, finance, or statistics; with a cumulative GPA of at least 3.25 preferred.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office
  • Interest in healthcare finance and policy
  • Ability to fit in and work with a driven, dedicated team
Qualifications Preferred:
  • Exposure to data analytical programming (SAS, SQL, WPS, Python) is beneficial but not required
  • Successful completion of actuarial exams is beneficial but not required
