- Assist underwriters with reviewing and evaluating workers compensation insurance applications to determine acceptance or denial of risks to promote company profitability
- Communicate with agents, brokers and policyholders to provide service and solutions to their underwriting and policy inquiries
- Work closely with supervisor and trainers on assignments, and manage competing priorities to be accountable for delivering results
- Demonstrate ownership of assignments to complete them within expected timelines, and communicate any issues preventing completion with your team lead, and participate in solutions to resolve and overcome the issues
- Complete technical underwriting training to gain authority and other responsibilities
- Learn about and use data analysis to identify opportunities for efficiencies in process and product
- Display initiative to generate solutions in both every day work, as well as projects
