- TS/SCI clearance with polygraph adjudication or active TS with the ability to obtain SCI and pass a polygraph
- Bachelor’s degree in a field of study applicable to the position with 8+ years of relevant experience. Additional 4 years experience may be considered in lieu of degree.
- A minimum 8 years of experience with SQL Server database administration
- Active Security+ (DoD 8570 Baseline certification for IAT Level 2)
- Must be able to install, configure, and maintain database management systems according to the project requirements
- Able to perform regular backups of all databases to ensure data integrity and availability
- Able to implement and maintain database security measures, including user access control and encryption
- Able to monitor database performance and optimize queries and indexes for improved efficiency
- Able to handle database migrations and upgrades, ensuring minimal downtime and data loss; can troubleshoot and resolve database-related issues promptly to minimize disruptions
- Requires good communication skills to collaborate with other teams, such as application developers and system administrators, to ensure seamless integration and performance
- Must have experience and knowledge in realm of DOD policies, best practices, and industry standards for database administration
- Experience with implementation of Security Technical Implementation Guide (STIG)
- Experience with Microsoft Windows Operating System Experience in upgrading major database instances
- Ability to work closely with system admins and ISSO on application upgrades, documentation and STIG remediation
- Ability to design, develop, and document technical solutions, standard operating procedures, and change requests.
- Experience with capacity planning, utilization, and performance monitoring (Index, Table, Queries, and Stored procedures).
- Familiar with writing SQL queries to generate system data reports, modify data as necessary, etc.
- Experience in database design and development
- Experience architecting, designing, developing, and managing databases using relational databases
