BAHRAINABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY:Comtech Systems, Inc (CSI) is looking for Outside/Inside Plant (OSP/ISP) Construction Technical Support candidates who will plan and prepare drawings for new, and removal or rearrangement of existing, overhead, or underground lines, cables, and conduits to obtain optimum and economical utilization of communications facilities. Candidates will be expected to work with a spirit of cooperation and must exhibit a tenacious work ethic while possessing the drive and critical thinking to excel in potentially tumultuous conditions.

Must have an active, current Secret Clearance.

Install pits and ducts (conduit and manholes) for installation and maintenance of fiber optic cable distribution infrastructure, to include “in-hole” cable racks and identification tags.
Install cable into the Cable Plant Infrastructure, to include the installation into buildings and manholes.
Install, terminate, test and repair CAT5E cable infrastructure into buildings to include patch panels and cables, racks and cabinets, raceways/cable ladders, and termination jacks (keystones).
Plot and track a cabling plan resembling a small city.
Provide knowledge of some phone installer work.
Handle additional duties as required.
SKILLS REQUIRED:All candidates will have the following minimum skills:
Minimum of five (5) years of experience in support of installations, repair, troubleshooting or maintenance of communications electronic systems or equipment.
Minimum of five (5) years of experience working with the following:
Supervision, management, and direction of Surveyor, Investigators, Draftsman, Logisticians, Technicians, and Installers on communication projects.
Experience in preparing working engineering project packages for installation teams to include installation instructions, sketches, List of Modification (LOMs), and engineering and program documentation (PSAs)
Experience in developing and execution of cutover plans for upgrades/installations of telecommunications and IT infrastructure.
Ability to communicate effectively, both written and verbally with diverse audiences, internally and externally to foster strong teamwork.
Work well independently or as a member of a team environment
Detail-oriented, with strong analytical skills.
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:Preferred Associate’s degree in Scientific Technical Discipline, OR eleven (11) total years of recent specialized experience.
Must be proficient with Microsoft Office.
Experience in maintaining certifications related to the requirement of the position.
CERTIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:All candidates will have the following required certification(s):
Building Industry Consulting Service International (BICSI) or similar certification
