
Structural Designer/Engineer

- Generally, take direction from senior engineers and project leads. Expect autonomy and independence to be commensurate with experience.
- Calculations, sketches, drawing production, specifications, multi-discipline coordination should be expected on a regular basis.
- Conducting observations of and evaluating existing conditions in both the field and via existing historical drawings are commonplace.
- Expect to work on multiple projects concurrently that require coordination of work between multiple EXP offices, as well as outside consultants.
- Occasional short-term travel to project sites. Usually, a single night or two at a time.
- Flexible hours and hybrid office attendance.
- Targeted experience level is 2+ years with a focus on building design.
- Possess a solid understanding of various structural analysis software such as RAM, RISA, ETABS.
- Possess strong Revit skills in both modeling and sheet creation at a minimum. Additional skills on items such as family creation, knowledge of parameter use, and templates is a plus.
- Working towards EIT
- Master's degree in Structural Engineering is preferred. A Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering w/ an emphasis on structures and/or relevant advanced coursework is considered a minimum requirement.
- Hold excellent written and verbal communication skills. Possess the ability to write persuasively and communicate technical subject matter in a concise and comprehendible manner to a less technical audience.
