About the LocationOnsite Position:This position is considered to be Fully Onsite, work is to be done onsite at a PetSmart location (Phoenix Home Office, PetSmart stores, Merchandise Development Center, Distribution Centers or another PetSmart site).About the JobSummary:DC Training Managers are leaders that will help our Distribution centers with facilitation and supervising of training programs. They assess the needs of a business, implement training and development plans, and facilitate a wide variety of training programs that enhance the effectiveness of the building.ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Lead a group of 6 or more trainers, across multiple shifts.
- Searching for gaps in training content and materials that need updating to generate higher productivity and safety among staff
- Researching new training supplies and materials that can enhance a firm’s training procedures while providing value to employees
- Identifying future training needs and creating a curriculum to facilitate that training
- Leading programs to assist employees with transitions due to technological changes
- Communicating with management, trainers, and associates to ensure that all needs are met
- Exhibits strong leadership by driving vision, fostering collaboration, promoting operational excellence, developing talent and executing initiatives.
- Conducting orientation programs and arranging on-the-job training for new hires
- Manage multiple learning projects at a time through various phases of learning design. (analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation)
- Demonstrates strong communication and influencing skills and develops ongoing relationships with internal and external project team members
- Bachelor’s degree preferred, preferably with a Supply Chain focus, or an equivalent of relevant DC operations experience and education
- 2+ years related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Demonstrate ability to develop analytical and problem-solving skills (i.e. critical and evaluative thinking) required.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, both written and verbal required.
- Ability to communicate effectively and partner across departments and levels to engage decisions.
- Must be a self-starter with the ability to manage multiple priorities
- Excellent Excel and PowerPoint skills
