MASSAGE THERAPIST- CONTRACTORDescription:Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Provides eligible tribal members up to two massages per month with a maximum of two hours per session (including 1.5 hours for massage and 30 minutes for sanitizing area and completing chart notes) Contractor will coordinate service times with the Medical Director and/or Director of Health & Social Services. Schedules may be adjusted due to holidays, cultural events, illness or office availability.
  • Contractor may provide up to twenty-four (24) hours per week and not to exceed 1,082 hours in total.
  • Provide massage therapy service for patients using professional judgment and experience, and in a clinically sound manner.
  • Maintain Timely and appropriate documentation of clinical records for all patients seen, in accordance to Health Center policies and procedures. Contractor and other Health Center services.
  • Communicate with Health Center clinical staff regarding clinical concerns to ensure continuity and coordination of care between Contractor and other Health Center services.
  • Ensure that Contractor's recommendations for outside referrals go through the Sandia Health Center's Business Office with proper documentation.
Adhere to the following Covid-19 protocols:
  • If you have Covid-19 symptoms, cancel your clinic and get tested.
  • Return to work only after a negative test, when feeling better and fever-free for 24 hours.
  • If you test positive, notify the Medical Director of any potential exposures and isolate according to CDC guidelines.
  • Masks and N-95 respirators are available and may be required based on patient condition, community spread, or if you have cold symptoms even with a negative Covid-19 test.
Requirements:Education and ExperienceRequired: * High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent.
  • Must be 18 years of age.
  • Two years’ experience delivering the Essential Duties and Responsibilities of the role.
License/Certifications/RegistrationsRequired before employment date: * State of New Mexico Massage Therapist License.
  • Must be able to successfully pass a 101.630 background investigation.
  • Will require a pre-employment and random drug screening.
