Onsite/Remote:Note: Relocation assistance is not provided.The Part-Time Student Program is primarily designed to augment the Company’s regular full-time staff and is for students who work in parallel to their school schedule YEAR-ROUND.Your ResponsibilitiesAs a Part-Time Student Maintenance Engineering and Data Analytics for John Deere Waterloo Works located in Waterloo, IA, you will:
  • Execute Maintenance Engineering Projects: BOM’s, Spare Parts, and, PM’s
  • Gather, review, and analyze data to understand trends and determine priorities for project assignment and execution
  • Process Preventative Maintenance (PM) work orders by:
  • Organizing and filing PMs and work orders
  • Ordering parts needed and kitting them
  • Updating the weekly PM availability and coordinating with production supervisors to plan time to complete PM
  • Scheduling PMs for all shifts, including weekends

  • Ideally you will be pursuing a degree in computer science, engineering, or related field; others may apply
  • Must be registered as a full-time student at a U.S. local accredited college/university
  • Graduation date of Spring 2026 or later
  • Cumulative GPA of 2.8 or above
  • Available to work during the academic year 16-20 hours/weekly
  • Available to work during the summer semester 35-40 hours/weekly
  • Must be able to commute to the work location in Waterloo, Iowa, on a daily basis year-round
  • Experience in Microsoft Office applications as well as the ability to learn new tools
