A career with Kerry offers you an opportunity to shape the future of food while providing you opportunities to explore and grow in a truly global environment.About the roleThe 2nd Shift Production Supervisor is responsible for executing the production schedule to ensure products are processed in accordance with established quality specifications and packaging requirements, while maintaining compliance with safety, environmental, and regulatory policies.Key responsibilities
  • Conduct shift reviews of production to ensure accuracy.
  • Promote a collaborative and team-oriented culture.
  • Provide support and coach/mentor employees while troubleshooting deviations to prevent future occurrences.
  • Support management with changes and assist as needed.
  • Ensure compliance with GMP standards for food and personnel safety, as well as Kerry policies.
  • Support the SQF Food Safety and Quality System by implementing and following procedures, participating in GMP inspections, internal audits, management reviews, and training.
  • Lead and manage production operatives, including training, coaching, and team development.
  • Assist with production planning.
  • Demonstrate success in implementing continuous improvement initiatives and accountability programs.
  • Responsible for scheduling and timekeeping of all production personnel.
  • Maintain flexibility with work hours to support operational needs (approximately 15% may require adjusted hours).
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications and skills
  • Four-year degree preferred in Food Technology or Business.
  • 2 to 5 years of experience in a food manufacturing plant or related industry.
  • Proven leadership experience.
  • Experience with SAP preferred.
  • Knowledge of lean manufacturing methodology.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to type, multi-task, organize, and prioritize tasks.
  • Capable of working independently, identifying problem areas, and maintaining attention to detail.
  • Analytical mindset with solid time management and organizational skills.
  • Understanding of production processes and the causes of variances in production data.
Compensation DataThe typical hiring range for this role is $64,479 to $105,272 annually and is based on several factors including but not limited to education, work experience, certifications, location, etc. In addition to your pay, Kerry offers benefits such as a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and retirement contribution (all benefits and incentives are subject to eligibility requirements).Kerry is an equal opportunity employer.
