- work with Business and Data Analytics to surface data needs to support reporting, insights and analytic outcomes – help identify and capture reporting pain points and opportunities and translate into data requirements
- leverage business knowledge and collaborate with Engineering to support the creation of a logical data model for the claims data
- craft detailed requirements for the curation of scalable data products that will support business priorities and transformation goals
- partner with Product to create semantic models for easy data consumption for reporting and adhoc analysis
- collaborate with Product and Technology along the product development life cycle
- provide input for defining acceptance criteria and delivery timelines
- ensure appropriate UAT testing and sign-off
- track status of data initiatives and provide reporting and updates on progress and risks
- work cross-functionally across business, Technology Operations, Data Analytics, Product and Engineering to address opportunities for technology and process improvements
- partner with business to prepare and maintain business catalogs including reports, metrics and definitions
- ensure consistent naming conventions and terminology across systems and reports
- collaborate with technical data stewards to define and maintain metadata, data dictionaries and to address the association of technical to business metrics
- collaborate with technology to implement data quality rules and validation checks
- in the event of data issues, facilitate root cause analysis and co-ordinate with technology and data owners to resolve issues
- participate in working groups with data owners and stewards to advance the data governance program
- provide input and feedback on opportunities for the Enterprise Data Portal (EDP) features and functionality
- participate in training and awareness to embed data governance into business day-to-day operations
- serve as first point of contact for data-related questions and issues

- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Analytics, or a related field.
- 4-5 years of experience in data transformation, business analysis, or data product development.
- Exposure to data governance frameworks and best practices.
- Sold SQL skills and familiarity with data platforms
- Experience in a large-scale enterprise environment, ideally within insurance and claims management
- Familiarity with Agile/Scrum project methodologies and tools such as Jira and Confluence.
- Knowledge of data cataloging tools and data governance platforms.
- Exposure to BI tools such as Tableau, Power BI, or Looker.
