Our department consists of agile teams where individual contributions are recognized, and career advancement is nurtured.Role Description:As a Cloud Platform Engineer III, you’ll be at the forefront of building and enhancing the platforms that power Safety National’s software delivery and infrastructure. You will design and implement scalable, secure, and automated platform capabilities that empower development, operations, and data teams. From enabling CI/CD automation and Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) to observability, security, and reliability, your work will directly impact our ability to deliver software efficiently and securely. You’ll collaborate with cross-functional teams, mentor teammates, and play a key role in incident management and operational support. A bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field is preferred. Candidates may also qualify with equivalent professional experience or certifications.Required Qualifications:
- Must be presently authorized to work in the U.S. without a requirement for work authorization sponsorship by our company for this position now or in the future.
- This position allows for a hybrid work schedule which includes a minimum of 3 days per week in our St. Louis Corporate Office, located at 1832 Schuetz Rd. Saint Louis, MO. All employees are required to submit work from home requests and follow our Work From Home policy, which will be provided to all candidates selected to interview.
- 6 or more years of experience in Information Systems or a related technical field, or equivalent combination of education and certifications.
- Proven experience with Microsoft Azure, including identity, networking, and compute services.
- Expertise in Infrastructure-as-Code (Terraform, ARM templates, Ansible).
- Strong experience with CI/CD automation tools (Azure DevOps, GitHub).
- Background in containerization and orchestration tools (Docker, Kubernetes on Azure).
- Proficiency in observability tools and practices (Azure Monitor, Datadog, OpenTelemetry).
- Strong understanding of cloud security practices and DevSecOps integration.
- Five or more professional certifications relevant to cloud, DevOps, or security.
- Experience implementing reliability engineering practices (e.g., SRE principles).
- Familiarity with secrets management, configuration management, and runtime orchestration.
- Ability to lead incident response, perform root cause analysis, and guide blameless post-mortems.
- Demonstrated mentorship experience and ability to foster team collaboration across disciplines.
- Excellent communication skills with an ability to translate complex technical concepts for varied audiences.
