
Human Resources Labor Relations Generalist

- Equitable administration of the collective agreement including grievance administration, interpretation and overall compliance
- Facilitating effective management/union relations
- Administration of attendance program
- Administration and discipline assessment
- Run attendance reports and gather information to compile into presentations with trend analysis
- EEOC and other workplace investigations
- Coaching, guiding and providing direction to operating management on assigned shift
- Implementation of lean manufacturing activities
The following prior experiences will be required for someone to be successful in this role:
- Interpretation and application of contracts and agreements
- Management of compliance and investigatory processes within a union environment
- Facilitation or participation in difficult interactions or situations, focusing on conflict resolution
- Analyzing data and using data to make decisions

- Focus on building and maintaining relationships with all stakeholders (management and union) through open and transparent communication
- Openness to the viewpoints of others and taking those viewpoints into account when making business decisions or recommendations
- Attention to detail and consistent follow through
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or Industrial Relations or related field
- Proficient with Microsoft Suite
- 2+ years of experience in Human Resources with an emphasis in labor relations in a manufacturing setting
- Knowledge of Human Resources Information System and reporting tools
- Experience working in a lean manufacturing environment
