Job Title:Production Engineer/SpecialistSummary: In this role as a Production Engineer/Specialist, you’ll take ownership of your assigned production areas, ensuring safe, reliable, and efficient operations each day. You’ll work side by side with operators to resolve challenges, provide technical expertise, and drive improvements that enhance overall performance. You’ll be responsible for setting and achieving goals in EHS, product quality, equipment reliability, productivity, and stable operations. You’ll also play a key role in supporting capital projects, leading CapEx implementation, and driving continuous improvement initiatives in collaboration with cross-functional teams.Please note that this role requires onsite presence five days per week, Monday through FridayApplicants must be authorized to work for any employer in the U.S. We cannot sponsor or take over sponsorship of an employment Visa at this time.Responsibilities Include:Environmental Health & Safety (EHS):
You’ll take an active role in building a strong safety culture by supporting environmental compliance, health, and safety initiatives. With guidance from senior engineers, you’ll help drive certifications, training, awareness programs, and specialized initiatives that keep both people and processes safe.Production Area Support:
You’ll gain hands-on experience with daily production operations, ensuring schedules are met while driving improvements in equipment integrity, reliability, and efficiency. You’ll collaborate with the business team on product quality metrics, learn the ins and outs of equipment capabilities, and get exposure to safety programs, preventative maintenance, emergency response, employee relations, and quality testing in the lab.Problem Solving:
You’ll work closely with experienced engineers and specialists to tackle real-world challenges—whether technical, operational, or equipment-related. Along the way, you’ll sharpen your problem-solving skills, learn to administer Preventative Maintenance (PM) programs, and apply modern engineering technologies to maintain 100% PM compliance.Performance Tracking:
You’ll monitor production performance by analyzing data, identifying trends, and working with teams across the site to assess results. Your insights will help drive improvements and ensure operations run smoothly.Team Collaboration & Leadership Development:
You’ll partner with site management and department leaders to support broader site operations. As part of the team, you’ll build strong relationships, gain leadership exposure, and contribute to initiatives that keep the plant operating at its best.Other duties as assigned.#LI-MTQualifications:The following are required for the roleBachelor of Science Degree in Chemical Engineering OR related field, or 3 years of chemical process manufacturing experience.Strong problem-solving credentials with an interest in chemical production.Knowledge of Microsoft Office Tools and sound engineering practices.Solid academic preparation in the chemical engineering discipline.Ability to lead and measure the effectiveness of the day-to-day activities of equipment in a multifunctional organization.Broad and general knowledge of chemical manufacturing and an interest in building a chemical engineering career based on a production and process chemical engineering foundation.Experience working with and through others with strong values and integrity, with team inclinations.The following are preferred for the role:Experience in Six Sigma, SAP, and ISO systems is a plusPractical experience with process optimizationBasic understanding of chemical plant operations, equipment, and EHS guidelinesWhat We Offer: Base Pay Range: $52,100 - $76,340The actual salary offered is determined by factors including but not limited to education, experience, skill sets, and geography. Local geographic pay differentials may not be reflected in the above pay range and will be discussed with you by a member of the HR team when applicable.
