Job Title: Summer 2026 Production and Energy Systems Engineering InternSummary: As a Production & Energy Systems Engineering Intern, you will lead real-world projects that improve process efficiency, energy savings, and safety across our Silanes and Utilities operations. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, gain hands-on experience in production engineering, and contribute to cost control, reliability, and digital innovation—all while building your technical and leadership skills.Responsibilities Include:System Control:- Develop process turn down methods for Silanes Process Equipment- Utilize control charts to set up standard operating methods and update operating procedures for product by process control- Update GEMBA boards and methods for the department for better visibility of leading indicators, digitization- Evaluate new processes starting in the area and assist in development in JSA, Operating Procedures and other critical documents- Yellow/White Belt certificationEHS:- Conduct 2-3 exposure reduction events, leading teams of 3-5 operators and engineers to make our processes safer- Establish methods to better track compliance. Evaluate all forms needed from the department for EH&S and develop a streamlined system for review and ownership.Communication and Documentation:- Develop vacation and overtime spreadsheets for shift team leaders to have easier access to certification needs on each shift as well as defining operating personel and displaying weekly overtime digitally.- Develop central location for engineers and shift team leaders to find and access critical files and folders in one place, implement a dashboard for these documentsOn Job Training:- Study and complete unit certification on 2 processes in the department. Write daily notes and receive real hands on experience in production engineering.Qualifications:The following are required for the rolePursuing an undergraduate or graduate degree in Chemical Engineering, Industrial Engineering or similar programAbility to function in an industrial setting and work safely.Skilled in Microsoft Office Applications, particularly Excel.Program Qualifications:The candidate must be actively enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate program at the time of application and for at least one semester following the conclusion of the internship.The candidate is expected to be available 40 hours a week for a period of 10-12 weeks between the months of May and August.What We Offer: Base Pay Range: $22.00 - $26.00The base salary offered is determined by factors including but not limited to education, experience, skill sets, and geography.
