
Imaging Technologist (M-F 8:00-4:30) - North Liberty

- Perform and teach specialized imaging procedures utilizing CT imaging equipment with close patient monitoring during exam. This includes independent operation with minimal physician supervision.
- Perform CT procedures using a variety of complex imaging and patient monitoring equipment.
- Has knowledge of and applies CT safety precautions to minimize or eliminate risks to patients, personnel, and equipment.
- Has knowledge and understanding of key Service Excellence principles for interaction with patients and staff.
- Establish rapport with patient and provide information about how the exam is performed and what is required of the patient.
- Maintain effective working relationships with faculty, staff, students and the public.
- Use proper septic techniques including skin preparation and IV placement.
- Prepare and administer contrast material to patients under radiologist’s supervision as required.
- Provide instruction to trainees, students and other medical staff on operation and safety precautions.
- Maintain current knowledge of developments in CT and related subjects by attending meetings, continuing education programs, participates in professional organizations and/or reviews journals or publications.
- Perform CT imaging archiving functions and records exam information in the electronic medical record in a timely and accurate manner.

- Requires Successful completion of two-year or other approved program by Joint Review Committee in Radiologic Technology Education is required.
- Current certification or eligibility for certification in diagnostic procedures by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) is required.
- Current Permit to Practice issued by the Iowa Department of Public Health for all radiographers operating ionizing radiation emitting equipment is required.
- Previous work or clinical education experience in general radiology in a level 1 Trauma center is desired.
- Recent work or clinical education experience in general radiography is desired.
- Recent work or clinical education experience in CT.
- CT modality training.
- CT certification or eligible.
