
Senior Imaging Technologist/ Imaging Technologist- MRI (2nd Shift)

- Operate, adjust, and manipulate computerized electronic and mechanical components of computerized axial tomographic, angiographic, magnetic resonance systems and multiple modalities of other general diagnostic equipment.
- Maintain, operate and trouble-shoot and report equipment failures.
- Instruct trainees, students and staff on equipment operation and safety precautions.
- Explain examination process to patients.
- Ensure patients welfare and assist physician with medical procedures
- Perform patient care techniques including skin preparation, I.V. placement, vital sign monitoring and recording, and basic life support; prepare and administer contrast material to patients.
- Maintain records and results of examinations and archive computer data.
- Plan daily, regular and STAT scheduling for efficient room utilization.
- Participate in on-call coverage.
- Assist with inventory, ordering supplies, and maintaining quality assurance in accordance with hospital, departmental and clinical unit standards.
- Participate in phantom, human and/or animal research.
- Maintain knowledge of technical developments, software updates, and related subjects by attending meetings, continuing education programs, and participation in professional organizations and/or review journals or publications.
- Perform quality assurance procedures and evaluate systems performance.
- Instruct and/or evaluate the clinical abilities and performance of Radiology Technology or sub-specialty students on a clinical rotation.
- Maintain effective working relationships with faculty, staff, students and the public.

- Senior Imaging Technologist: A Bachelor's degree in Radiologic Technology or other Allied Health Sciences discipline, or an equivalent combination of education and experience is required.
- Senior Imaging Technologist: Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills.
- Imaging Technologist: Requires Successful completion of two-year or other approved program by Joint Review Committee in Radiologic Technology Education is required.
- Current certification or eligibility for certification in diagnostic procedures by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) is required or the American Registry of Magnetic Resonance Imaging Technologists (ARMRIT) certificate is required.
- Recent work or clinical education experience in MRI.
- MRI modality training.
- MRI certification or eligible.
- Work or clinical education experience in a Level 1 trauma center.
- Previous work or clinical education experience in general radiology in a level 1 Trauma center is desired.
- Recent work or clinical education experience in general radiography is desired.
