- Manage and mentor a team of Business Development professionals, each aligned to one or more BRE service verticals.
- Establish clear goals, KPIs, and accountability measures for vertical and cross-service sales.
- Foster professional development and industry presence of BD team members.
- Strategy & Systems
- Develop and implement the overarching BRE business development strategy.
- Design organizational systems to track pipeline, monitor and analyze business performance metrics to ensure growth strategies are effective, and support informed decision-making.
- Identify and drive cross-selling initiatives across multiple service lines.
- Client & Market Engagement
- Represent SOCOTEC’s BRE group in the New York real estate and construction markets, cultivating high-value relationships.
- Partner with service line leaders to position SOCOTEC for competitive pursuits and long-term partnerships.
- Anticipate market trends and client needs, leveraging insights to guide business development priorities.
- Collaboration & Integration
- Coordinate closely with BRE service line leaders and corporate marketing to ensure aligned messaging and positioning.
- Build a culture of collaboration across verticals to maximize value delivered to clients.
- 10+ years of progressive business development, strategy, or client leadership experience.
- Background in AEC industry (architecture, engineering, construction, real estate) or in strategic consulting/professional services, with demonstrated transferable expertise.
- Proven track record of building, managing, and scaling successful BD or client-service teams.
- Experience with strategic planning and market analysis.
- Strong understanding of how to develop and execute business strategies that achieve measurable growth.
- Excellent leadership, coaching, and interpersonal skills.
- Established network in the New York real estate market preferred (for AEC candidates) or strong consulting/advisory experience with transferable relationship-building skills (for strategic consulting candidates).
- Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, engineering, architecture, or a related field; advanced degree (MBA, M.S. in Real Estate, or equivalent) preferred.
