ResponsibilitiesLeadership & Strategy
- Lead and scale a global DevOps organization spanning multiple time zones
- Develop and execute comprehensive DevOps strategy aligned with engineering velocity goals
- Drive cultural transformation, DevOps practices, automation-first mindset, continuous improvement
- Partner closely with VP of Engineering and Product teams to optimize software delivery pipelines
- Measure and improve deployment frequency, lead time, and change failure rate
- Create friendly, self-service tooling, and local development environment standardization
- Implement comprehensive logging, monitoring, and debugging capabilities for development teams
- Drive adoption of modern development practices including GitOps and trunk-based development
- Drive implementation of feature flags, blue-green deployments, and canary releases
- Enable development teams to deploy independently with confidence
- Implement automated rollback and recovery mechanisms for rapid issue resolution
- Transform current CI/CD infrastructure to industry-standard solutions (GitHub Actions, or similar)
- Optimize containerization strategy for improved scalability and deployment flexibility
- Establish automated build, test, and deployment pipelines for diverse technology stack including: Java/Spring Boot applications and legacy monoliths, Node.js/React single-page applications, Python-based AI/ML services, Mobile applications (iOS/Android), Legacy systems requiring specialized deployment approaches
- Support DevSecOps practices with security scanning integrated into all pipelines
- Drive secret management and secure credential handling across all environments
- Support vulnerability management and automated patching processes
- 15+ years in DevOps, Platform or Software Engineering roles. 5+ years in leadership positions.
- Proven track record building and scaling global teams across multiple time zones
- Experience leading large-scale platform and technology modernization initiatives
- Strong organizational skills. Ability to influence and drive cross-functional cultural change
- Deep expertise in CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitLab CI, GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps)
- Extensive experience with containerization and orchestration
- Strong background in infrastructure-as-code (Terraform)
- Proficiency with multi-cloud environments (AWS primary, Azure secondary)
- Experience with large-scale Java applications, Spring Boot, and legacy system modernization
- Demonstrated success implementing DevOps practices in large-scale environments
- Experience with monitoring and observability tools (New Relic, Grafana, Prometheus, ELK)
- Background in automated testing frameworks and quality assurance integration
- Knowledge of security scanning tools and DevSecOps practices
- Experience with SQL and NoSQL data platform deployments and management
- Background with authentication and IDAM systems (Auth0/Okta, SAML, OAuth)
- Experience with API management platforms and microservices architectures
- Previous exposure to AI/ML pipeline automation and model deployment
- Knowledge of mobile app CI/CD and app store deployment automation
- Experience with legacy system modernization and strangler fig patterns

Additional compensation for this role includes a bonus eligibility, which is based on personal, department and/or company performance, where applicable. Final compensation will be based on factors such as relevant experience, skills, education, internal equity, and market data.
