Our client, located in New York, NY, is looking to hire a Risk Assessment Consultant for their Compliance Department. This consultant will be required to assist with the development, execution and administration of all Compliance Risk Assessments.The Risk Assessment Consultant will be responsible for the following:
  • Collaborating in the development, execution, and upkeep of Compliance risk assessments.
  • Identifying potential risk factors across different assessments such as BSA/AML EWRA, OFAC EWRA, CCRA, Fraud, and ABC.
  • Analyzing quantitative data to understand risk implications.
  • Identifying internal controls pertinent to risk assessments.
  • Working closely with Legal, Corporate Compliance, and other teams to identify relevant regulations and inherent risks.
  • Initiating the identification, development, and mapping of controls and risk factors to business lines.
  • Coordinating training sessions or workshops on risk assessment processes.
  • Supporting Business Units and other departments in understanding BSA/AML, OFAC, Corporate Compliance, Fraud, and ABC risk-related requirements.
  • Conducting initial reviews of Business Unit responses for all Risk Assessments.
  • Analyzing Risk Assessment results and drafting comprehensive reports with observations, recommendations, and action plans.
  • Collaborating with vendors on risk assessment solution requirements, where necessary.
  • Demonstrating risk awareness by adhering to all policies, procedures, and internal controls.
  • Promptly escalating identified risk issues to the Risk Assessment Officer.

  • Bachelor's Degree
  • 5+ years in BSA/AML, Sanctions, Corporate Compliance Role, Fraud and/or Anti-Bribery and Corruption Role
  • 2+ years in a Risk Assessment support role preferred
  • ACAMS, ACFCS, CFE or similar certification preferred
  • Must have knowledge and familiarity with BSA/AML, Sanctions, Corporate Compliance, Fraud, and/or ABC laws, rules, regulations and best practices.
  • Must be proficient in use of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
