
Lift Operator - Snowbird

- 4 x 10-hour shifts.
- Specific Shifts: 7:30 am to 5:30 pm
- Must be able to work weekends and holidays.
- Operate chairlifts in a safe and efficient manner.
- Ensure areas around lift stations are safe and free of hazards.
- Ensure daily logs are filled out correctly.
- Answer all guest questions and address guest concerns.
- Work with all departments and employees at Snowbird to ensure mountain operations run smoothly and safely.
- Check and validate all tickets and passes prior to admitting anyone loading the chairlifts and the tram.
- Must be an intermediate to advanced skier or snowboarder.
- A positive attitude and ability to work well under pressure.
- Must have the ability to interact at any time with guests and other employees in a pleasant manner and maintain good working relationships with others and all departments at Snowbird.
- 6 months or more of customer service-related work experience with demonstrated competence.
- High School Diploma or equivalent required.
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- Must demonstrate basic competency in reading, writing, speaking, math and interpersonal skills.
- Requires basic mechanical skills and the ability to work well with others in an interactive environment.

- Must be prepared to stay overnight, if necessary, on occasional times of road closures.
- May experience unusual stress from continual work with public, winter conditions, snow night requirements and commuting to/from Snowbird.
- Must be able to lift 50 lbs.
- Must be able to stand for long periods of time.
- Must demonstrate ability to bend, kneel, handle, reach, grasp and perform repetitive motions.
- Must possess the ability to work fast and efficiently under pressure.
- Work is subject to frequent interruptions making continuity and accuracy difficult, frequent exposure to noise.
- May experience some stress due to periodic guest relations, also during high-occupancy periods.
- Position requires an outgoing and friendly personality.
- Must have the ability to work in a flexible and high-volume environment.
- Needs the ability to make decisions quickly on guest and employee issues.
- Advanced or expert skiing/boarding ability preferred.
