DescriptionBoulder County Human Services Department is seeking to hire multiple Human Services Eligibility Technicians B. We are looking for dedicated professionals with the expertise and confidence to join our existing high performing eligibility teams. An ideal candidate will possess a customer-focused attitude combined with the ability to manage a complex workload. This work is fast paced. The ability to roll with changes, use critical thinking skills, and complete time-sensitive data entry accurately is essential in the role. You'll need an open mind too as you will also contribute to our process improvements within teams, utilizing lean methodologies and process improvement strategies. This position will be responsible for processing benefit applications, recertifications or changes for public assistance programs such as Medicaid, SNAP, Adult Financial and Colorado Works.This is a full-time, benefited or non-benefited position that will work Monday - Friday 8:30am - 4:30pm. This position will work remote and out of 515 Coffman St. Longmont, 3460 Broadway Boulder, and 1755 S. Public Road Lafayette, Colorado. Under Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) guidelines, this position is non-exempt (eligible for overtime).Boulder County requires its employees to reside in the state of Colorado as of the first day of work.Hiring Salary Range: $53,988.00 - $65,874.00 AnnuallyTentative Hiring Timeline:

  • Gathers and reviews financial and other pertinent information from applicants and clients to use in determining eligibility for public assistance programs
  • Informs applicants and recipients of relevant requirements and program benefits for which they may be eligible
  • Clarifies and interprets to clients their appeal rights and procedures
  • May assist applicants in completing forms and securing documents and other verification needed in completing forms
  • Approves or denies applications and recertification within required time frames
  • Enters pertinent data into computer systems and uses appropriate systems to gather and verify data on applicants
  • Determines the need for recovery of funds or referral for fraud investigation
  • Learns to apply a lean process improvement framework to work processes to bring increased value to clients
  • Performs related work, as required
  • May be reassigned during emergency situations

  • One-year processing public assistance programs in the Colorado Benefits Management System (CBMS) and off of 100% case review for Medical Assistance programs.
