Optiver is looking for an Institutional Trader to join our Trading Team. Upon joining our firm, you will play a key role in growing our credit trading business. As one of the key faces of our organization, you'll translate market intricacies into strategic trades-driving profitability and expanding our trading counterparties through your strong interpersonal skills.What you'll doInstitutional traders often execute the largest and most impactful trades across the landscape. Every day presents new interactions, experiences, and challenges to navigate. In this role, you will also:
  • Represent Optiver by managing existing and building new relationships with external counterparties
  • Interpret large flows to inform trading strategies
  • Identify new market opportunities to diversify strategies and maximize team success
  • Collaborate with internal sales and trading desks to make real-time contributions to trading and pricing decisions

Who you are
  • Have 4+ years of experience trading Credit Derivatives, Corporate Bonds, or Fixed Income ETFs
  • Possess expertise in trading and position management around market flows
  • Have a deep understanding of the market landscape and industry dynamics, enabling the identification of innovative growth opportunities
  • An excellent communicator with a proven track record of building and maintaining external relationships
  • Competitive and dedicated to continuous improvement within a team environment
  • Strong mathematical and quantitative background
  • Hold a bachelor's degree (required)
  • Legal authorization to work in the U.S. is required; we will not sponsor individuals for employment authorization for this job opening.
