Job Category: AO - Administration/OperationsJob Description:Join our dynamic team as an Oracle HCM Functional Analyst specializing in payroll configuration. This critical role serves as the bridge between business stakeholders and technical teams, translating payroll-related business needs into effective Oracle HCM Cloud solutions. You will leverage your deep knowledge of Oracle HCM Payroll to configure out-of-the-box features, guide customizations, and optimize payroll processes while collaborating closely with Product Managers and developers.Responsibilities:·Payroll Configuration: Configure and maintain Oracle HCM Payroll modules, including earnings, deductions, pay groups, costing, general ledger integrations, and tax rules, to meet business and compliance needs.· Requirement Translation: Collaborate with the payroll product manager and business analyst to analyze business requirements and convert them into clear, actionable functional specifications for payroll processes.· Technical Collaboration: Guide developers on custom solutions (e.g., Fast Formulas), providing clear functional requirements to meet business objectives.· System Expertise: Serve as the go-to expert on Oracle HCM Payroll, advising on feature activation, optimization, and integration with modules like Absence Management, Time & Labor, Benefits, and Core HR.· Compliance: Ensure payroll configurations comply with federal, state, and local regulations, including tax requirements.· Process Improvement: Propose business process enhancements when system limitations are identified, aligning with organizational goals.· Testing & Validation: Conduct system testing, validation, and user acceptance testing (UAT) for payroll configurations and enhancements.· Documentation: Document payroll configuration changes, workflows, and business processes to ensure clarity and compliance.· Support: Troubleshoot and resolve functional issues in payroll processing and configuration to ensure seamless operations.Day-to-Day Activities· Work closely with the Product Manager to assess payroll requirements and research Oracle HCM features for optimal configuration.· Configure and test payroll components, ensuring compliance and efficiency.· Collaborate with developers to design and implement custom solutions, such as Fast Formulas, when needed.· Provide expertise in design discussions, recommending best practices for payroll setup, feature activation, and process optimization.· Troubleshoot issues and support ongoing payroll operations.Qualifications:·Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, HRIS, or a related field.· 5+ years of experience with Oracle HCM Cloud, with a focus on Payroll configuration.· Deep knowledge of payroll processes (earnings, deductions, taxes, compliance) and Oracle HCM modules (e.g., Core HR, Absence, Time & Labor).· Familiarity with Fast Formulas and Oracle HCM customization processes.· Preferred: Background in software engineering or development for enhanced technical collaboration.· Strong analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skills to bridge business and technical teams.About Us:Church employees find joy and satisfaction in using their unique talents and abilities to further the Lord's work.
