Position SummaryThe HR Generalist is responsible for supporting the day-to-day operations of the Human Resources department. This role manages a broad range of HR functions, including onboarding, employee relations, benefits administration, compliance, and HR policy implementation. The HR Generalist partners with managers and employees to ensure a positive, compliant, and efficient work environment.Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct onboarding and new hire orientation to ensure a smooth transition into the organization.
  • Administer employee benefit programs and assist employees with questions or claims.
  • Maintain HR records and employee files in compliance with company policies and legal requirements.
  • Support payroll processing by ensuring accurate employee data entry and updates.
  • Advise managers and employees on HR policies, procedures, and employee relations matters.
  • Handle employee concerns, conflict resolution, and escalate sensitive matters as needed.
  • Ensure compliance with labor laws, EEO, FMLA, ADA, and other state and federal regulations.
  • Participate in performance management processes, including goal setting, evaluations, and corrective actions.
  • Assist with training initiatives, employee engagement activities, and HR projects as assigned.
  • Generate reports and provide data analysis on HR metrics (turnover, recruitment, retention, etc.).
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field required.
  • 2–5 years of progressive HR experience preferred.
  • Knowledge of federal and state employment laws and HR best practices.
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and HRIS systems.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
  • PHR or SHRM-CP certification preferred (not required).
