- Layout Revit 3D views, sheets or drawings.
- Create Revit templates.
- Develop Revit schedules of components, parts and bill of material.
- Organize (spool) pipe for fabrication.
- Create shop drawings for field installation.
- Ability to take verbal direction and/or sketches or surveys to product an acceptable work product with minimal supervision.
- Ability to read and understand complex construction documents.
- Ability to correctly estimate and schedule design hours for a project.
- Ability to meet industry quality standards in producing drawings, calculations, material pick offs and material submittals for a project.
- Ability to correctly complete project paperwork, such as: test papers, insurance permits, punch list.
- Ability to identify contract work vs. non-contract work and alert appropriate personnel in writing.
- Ability to troubleshoot and identify potential problems before they manifest.
- Ability to understand, carry out and communicate about all project tasks.
- Must possess ability and motivation to teach Trainees and Junior Designers in mastering all responsibilities listed above.
- May be responsible for taking on role as project leader and must direct other team members in completing project efficiently and accurately. As project leader, responsible for giving regular, complete, and professional status reports information to Manager.
- Work with other departments to service customers.

- Operate at all times in compliance with the company’s safety practices.
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering a plus.
- Experience in Mechanical and Plumbing System Design/Drafting required.
- 2+ years’ AutoCAD and Revit MEP experience with advanced training and experience in current AutoCAD software required.
- Knowledge of Revit Grouping components into assemblies, families and libraries of 3D content required.
- Previous construction company experience with industrial, health care, public construction and commercial projects a plus.
- Field experience a plus.
- Ability to think strategically, make sound decisions, and produce accurate and timely results is required.
