- Expand client base through successful selling and coaching techniques including lending applications, cross-selling of bank services and products and assisting clients in every area of banking.
- Resolve client concerns through direct personal action, or by referring clients to an alternative bank department resource.
- Identify and address clients' needs by providing a variety of services which may include opening new accounts, issuing counter checks, performing account maintenance, issuing/activation ATM cards, performing money transfers, ordering checks, receiving loan payments, etc.
- Ensure the branch provides quality service while protecting against loss.
- Maintain advanced knowledge of branch operations.
- May Supervise branch activities in the absence of, or in conjunction with branch management team.
- Perform cash transactions and accurately process debit and credit transactions in compliance with established policies and procedures while maintaining an acceptable balancing record.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- High School diploma or equivalent and 2+ years' experience in teller, new accounts, loan processing, consumer lending, sales or other directly related experience. Previous experience in a financial sales representative oriented role preferred. An equivalent combination of education and experience may meet qualifications.
- Bilingual in Spanish and English highly preferred
- Ability to sell, cross-sell and refer bank products based on clients' needs.
- Solid mathematical, problem-solving and negotiation skills to support standard banking products, services and transactions including balancing.
- Solid knowledge of all retail products and services.
- Proven customer service, relationship building, interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written with strong attention to detail and time management.
- Proficient in basic computer skills.
- Basic knowledge of consumer lending applications a plus.
