Job Description:This position is responsible for designing, developing, and implementing supply chain solutions for prospective clients to achieve their organization's goals and objectives, reporting to the Director of Solutions Design.Essential FunctionsReasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.
Design and implement supply chain solutions, ranging from large-scale (geographical optimization) to small-scale (design of processes and lines/stations).
Develop logistic service solutions for prospective clients, focusing on warehousing, manufacturing, kitting, sequencing, and transportation.
Work closely with Business Development and Account Management to launch and support the development and implementation of solutions that meet the requirements of new and existing businesses.
Support sales in presenting the solution to the customer through proposals, conference calls, and presentations.
Facilitate the application of lean principles by implementing lean tools, such as standardized work, 5S visual factory, total productive maintenance, pull systems, and value stream mapping, among other related methodologies.
Recommend and implement new and/or improve existing error-proofing methods and technology.
Assist with the ongoing development and enhancement of standardized engineering tools and methods.
Direct the implementation of work standards through time studies and other accepted methods.
Make informed recommendations and decisions related to the purchase or lease of capital equipment, including forklifts, tooling, lift assists, generators, compressed air systems, racking, sweepers/scrubbers, compactors, and miscellaneous items on specific projects.
Manage the project engineering equipment budget and report ongoing status to Customers and Executive Management.
Partner with cross-functional teams (i.e. real estate, information technology, operations, transportation, human resources, accounting, etc.) to ensure pricing models are all-inclusive.
Obtain quotes, perform cost analysis, and manage contractors working on various installations at multiple facilities.
Participate in interviews and evaluations of new engineering recruits, as required, and assume the responsibility of providing ongoing training and support to these plant and corporate resources.

Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Industrial Engineering, Logistics, Supply Chain, or Operations Research, or related fields, with a strong background in engineering redesign and cost savings initiatives.
Experience in solutions design/development within the warehousing, logistics, supply chain, or industrial engineering services industries. Highly developed computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Access, Word, Visio, or equivalent, as well as Project Management software, are required. Knowledge of Excel should include the use of pivot tables and familiarity with common formulas. A working knowledge of relational database creation, queries, forms, reports, macros, and functions.
Proficient in using AutoCAD or Fusion 360 to design functional workings of solutions in 3D and 2D formats.
Ability to conceptualize existing operations and innovative solution designs from provided datasets and determine opportunities for improvements. Knowledgeable in state-of-the-art technology and supply chain best practices.
Ability to be adaptable, efficient, and productive in a dynamic, innovative solution development environment, along with strong communication skills and the capacity to collaborate with customers. The capability to deliver training and support to both internal and external customers is essential.
Ability to learn software applications quickly. Ability to adapt to a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt preferred.
