- Strategy & Execution: Develop and implement a local business development strategy aligned with company objectives, with a primary focus on acquiring new customers (80% of focus).
- Market Expertise: Understand market trends and customer needs within the electrical industry. Preference given to candidates with established networks and experience in the Midwest Region.
- Client Engagement: Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including existing clients and new prospects. Serve as the primary business development leader for the Midwest Region.
- National Opportunities: Upon demonstrated success locally, contribute to business development efforts on a national scale.
- Technical Communication: Leverage technical and industry knowledge to identify customer needs and communicate how our capabilities can serve as effective solutions.
- Proposal Development: Collaborate with the Pre-Construction team to ensure proposals are tailored to customer requirements. Help shape proposal strategies to maximize win rates.
- Presentation & Communication: Deliver polished presentations to potential clients and effectively communicate customer insights to internal stakeholders.
- Tracking & Reporting: Maintain organized records of client interactions and business development activities. Provide regular updates to leadership on progress and opportunities.
- Team Collaboration: Work cross-functionally with internal teams to support business development initiatives and ensure alignment with company goals.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in the electrical industry, with a strong background in business development.
- Proven success in generating new business and managing client relationships.
- Familiarity with the Missouri/St. Louis market is strongly preferred.
- Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills.
- Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Technical aptitude to discuss electrical solutions at a high level with clients.
