- Perform large fire extinguisher services with Fire Safety Specialists (FSSs) as needed.
- Fill open FSS positions promptly.
- Train FSSs to meet performance standards.
- Evaluate bid opportunities and submit completed bids on time.
- Support FSSs with sales presentations to secure high-value accounts
- Join FSSs on sales calls for major prospective accounts with high revenue potential. Add POs to invoices for payment submission.
- Visit each FSS once per month to inspect vans, observe and assist with customer interactions, train, assist or teach selling skill techniques, provide organization skills guidance as needed, verify and provide NFPA 10 continued education.
- Meet with FSS to discuss what you have found during the ride along and discuss the overall impression of their business.
- Discuss goals and ways to improve the location in the next few months / year.
- Attend, participate, and lead location meetings whenever possible to support the FSS, and the corporate message.
- Identify low performing FSS and provide action plan for improvement
- Prepare yearly budgets for each FSS using historical data and run rates for the previous year.
- Attend annual budget meeting with UniFirst.
- Be prepared to explain the results for the year for each location.
- Be prepared to answer questions about each FSS, their tenure, and what geographical area they cover.
- Have knowledge of each line-item expense and why they could be higher or lower than the previous year.
- Be prepared to explain how you plan to obtain the proposed revenue goal for the coming year for each location.
- Note any large accounts that have been lost, why they were lost, and how this will adversely affect revenue at that location.
- Prepare and review agenda for weekly Focus Meetings with each FSS to discuss the status of each location. FSS Goal (Short, meet or exceed) Standings (Completed sales for the year/month, Dynamics, Sales funnel for next 30, 60 and 90 days and prospecting activities and what needs to be done by each FSS to improve, any potential challenges
- Discuss a strategy to help grow the location.
- Attend weekly Focus Meeting with Business Development Manager and Fire Program Administrator. Be prepared to give an account of the status of each FSS, revenue, promotions, any potential problems, turnover, etc.
- Interview, hire, teach, and train each FSS at your locations.
- Conduct interviews for all new FSS.
- Help your FSS train new FSS as needed.
- Develop action plans and strategies for FSS that are struggling to meet revenue or other goals.
- Review and approve FSS expenses in Concur.
- Review monthly sales reports.
- Track each FSS YTD for revenue and discuss with FSS as needed. Compare each location to the previous year and discuss with FSS as needed.
- Review all daily, weekly, and monthly reports that are received to ensure each FSS is running smoothly, producing revenue, and controlling cost; DAR, Daily Standings, Free Goods, reports from HH, etc.
- Weekly standings, items shipped, sales and service, etc.
- Complete a monthly activity report by the 5th of each month.
- Review each of your FSS activity reports for accuracy.
- Review payroll for each FSS ·
- Answer all emails in a timely manner
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent related industry experience preferred.
- Must be 18 years of age or older.
- Two years business-to-business selling or account management experience.
- One year of management experience preferred. Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects effectively.
- Valid non-commercial driver’s license
- Safe driving record
- Ability to lift and carry 30 lbs.
