Floor Technician is responsible for stripping, polishing, waxing and buffing non-carpeted floors in the hospital and nursing home. Responsible for shampooing and cleaning all carpeted flooring in hospital and nursing home.Position: Full Time; Medical, Dental, and Vision Insurance; Short- and Long-term Disability; 401A.Education: Hight School Diploma or equivalent preferredTraining and Experience: Must know how to use common house-cleaning devices such as mops, broom, scouring pads, etc. to keep areas clean and well serviced. Knowledge of vacuum cleaners, buffer equipment, floor stripper and waxes required. Must know how to care for equipment, how to measure cleaning solutions and to be alert to hazards.Work Conditions: Subject to normal working conditions with adequate lighting and comfortable environment. Universal precautions must be observed and protective devices worn by the employee when performing tasks likely to cause exposure .Physical Demands: Good general health and stress coping ability. Physically ale to lift supplies within the department as needed. Must have the ability to read and speak English sufficiently to comprehend instructions and to comunicate with patients and staff.
