- Preparing planning documents, conceptual and schematic designs, illustrations and graphics, construction details, construction documents, technical specifications, and construction cost estimates for a wide variety of public and private sector projects.
- Performing field reviews and analysis of project sites and study areas, and preparing written documentation of observations and conditions.
- Knowledge of construction materials and techniques, including detailing
- Plan and organize multiple projects and effectively work with other Landscape Architects, Designers, and Technicians
- Understand quality control coordination and practice structure, and be able to comply with company standards
- Maintain regular office hours and participate in company functions where appropriate
- Will work under the supervision of a project manager or senior-level team member.
- Under the direction of the Supervising Landscape Architect, may independently perform advanced technical assignments of various complexities within approved schedules and budgets.
- May coordinate technical and administrative activities with employees in other disciplines and other departments participating on an assigned project.
- May assist in the training and evaluation of assigned architectural and design/drafting personnel.
- Domestic travel may be required.
- Bachelor’s degree in Landscape Architecture from a Landscape Architecture Accreditation Board (LAAB) accredited program, Environmental Design, or other related degree, and 4+ years of related experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education.
- Proficiency with AutoCAD, Adobe Creative Suite, Microsoft Office, and SketchUp, or other related 3D graphic and CADD software.
- Valid US Driver’s License is required for this position. As a condition of employment, selected candidate must pass a Motor Vehicle Records review
- Due to the nature of the position and the work, U.S. citizenship is required.
- Master's degree in Landscape Architecture from a Landscape Architecture Accreditation Board (LAAB) accredited program
- Experience shall include participation with studio team members on project work, including public/private projects with an emphasis on municipal, state, and federal projects involving transportation, streetscapes, waterfront development, parks, trails, and open space design, place-making, and planning.
- Registered Landscape Architect (Licensed in Florida).
- Experience with three-dimensional design, 3D modeling illustrations, and graphic design
- Experience with Florida Department of Transportation-related projects
- Experience with the design process, conceptual thinking, and detailed design/construction document knowledge, well organized, and attention to scheduling requirements
- Experienced with project management, time management, and task management skills
